Why do it?

Diagram illustrating lawn cross-section with labeled parts: a thatch layer, shallow roots, and compacted soil. Green grass is shown above, with clouds in the sky.

Over time, the soil in your lawn becomes impacted, which can actually help the thatch layer in your lawn develop. The thatch layer inhibits vital nutrients from reaching the root system of your lawn.

Illustration of soil aeration benefits. It shows water, nutrients, and oxygen distribution in soil through aeration holes, enhancing root growth.

Core Aeration penetrates the thatch layer deep into the compacted soil allowing water, oxygen and nutrients to reach and strengthen the root system.

Core Aeration penetrates the thatch layer deep into the compacted soil allowing water, oxygen and nutrients to reach and strengthen the root system. This results in a beautiful, full lawn.
